Shropshire is excited to offer an amazing opportunity to Social Workers to join one of our Case Management Teams covering the county. Working in the Case Management Service is a dynamic and exciting opportunity. The position will appeal to a Social Worker who enjoys a varied caseload, engaging with families and supporting them on Child in Need and Child Protection plans. The service also includes opportunities to work with families as part of the Public Law Outline (PLO) and Court Proceedings, and with Children Looked After until the point of permanency.
Responsibilities
* Work with families on Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
* Engage with families as part of the Public Law Outline (PLO) and Court Proceedings.
* Support Children Looked After until the point of permanency.
* Build positive relationships with a range of partners and key stakeholders.
* Identify and support interventions for children and families.
* Remain involved with a child until their family no longer needs a statutory service or the child has achieved permanency via a final Care Order or Adoption.
Qualifications & Experience
* Working towards a Social Work degree or already hold this.
* Experience as an ASYE, Social Worker or Senior Social Worker.
* Great communication skills and ability to engage with children and families of diverse backgrounds.
* Enthusiastic and keen to learn and develop skills further via training programmes such as Motivational Interviewing, Restorative Practice and Parent Assess.
