Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an MSK Advanced Practitioner Sonographer based in Leicester. The role involves conducting specialized musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations, analyzing and interpreting imaging findings, and producing detailed reports. The practitioner will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining the highest professional standards and ensuring patient care is prioritized. Responsibilities also include mentoring junior staff, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with radiology guidelines.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSK), including advanced practitioner-level knowledge and the ability to perform and interpret scans independently.
Strong skills in patient care and an empathetic approach to delivering healthcare services.
Proficiency in clinical decision-making, report writing, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Commitment to professional development, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to quality assurance initiatives.
PGDip or equivalent qualification in medical ultrasound is essential; registration with a recognized professional body is highly desirable.
Experience working in an NHS or equivalent healthcare setting with a strong focus on diagnostic imaging.
