What we’re looking for
1. Proven experience teaching within UK SEN schools or specialist provisions
2. Strong understanding of a range of needs, such as ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH, or complex communication needs
3. Ability to plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning profiles
4. Confident classroom management rooted in consistency, empathy, and positive behaviour support
5. A collaborative approach, working closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
6. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Your role
7. Lead a class within a specialist setting, delivering personalised learning pathways
8. Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of cognitive, sensory, and communication needs
9. Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
10. Work closely with TAs and wider multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
11. Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
12. Contribute to EHCP targets, assessments, and progress reviews
