A well-established M&E contractor is seeking a Contracts Manager with a strong electrical background to join their team in Livingston. This senior role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of multiple electrical projects, ensuring commercial success and operational excellence across a varied portfolio. Role Overview As Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the commercial and operational performance of electrical contracts. You’ll oversee project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure delivery aligns with programme, budget, and quality expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial forecasting, cost control, and profitability tracking Manage contract administration, variations, and claims Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders Mentor and guide project teams, setting clear objectives and expectations Identify and mitigate commercial and operational risks Oversee subcontractor performance and commercial arrangements Coordinate procurement of materials and labour Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all sitesCandidate Profile Minimum 5 years’ experience in M&E contracts management Strong electrical background, including power, lighting, and fire systems Proven track record managing contracts ranging from £100k to £5m Experience in fit-out and design & build projects preferred Relevant construction qualification (HND or degree level ideal) Proficient in Asta Powerproject or MS Project Strong IT skills (Word, Excel) and understanding of NEC/JCT contracts Commercially astute with excellent financial management skillsCertifications Required CSCS card SMSTS First Aid at Work Asbestos Awareness Full UK driving licencePersonal Attributes Strategic and commercially minded Confident communicator and relationship builder Effective leader with team development experience Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused Professional and adaptable in client-facing environments Business development mindset with a focus on long-term partnerships
