Power System Engineer – Green Energy & Net Zero
As the world moves towards net-zero emissions, the way we use electricity is changing. More than ever, we need experts who can ensure the lights stay on while we transition to greener energy sources. That’s where Power System Engineers come in.
We’re looking for an experienced Power System Engineer to help predict energy demand and ensure it’s met efficiently. For example, when big events like football matches take place, energy usage spikes. The shift to net-zero means energy use is evolving, and we need to stay ahead.
You’ll analyse data, predict load increases, and help manage existing service stations to prevent issues before they arise.
Up to 10 years’ experience in power systems, with 3-5 years in net-zero grids
Ability to work with energy providers and industry partners
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related field) is essential.
A Master’s degree or higher is a plus.
Hands-on experience in power system engineering, with a strong focus on system design, analysis, and protection.
Experience leading and managing engineering teams on large-scale projects.
Familiarity with power system modelling software, such as ETAP, PSS/E, DigSILENT PowerFactory, CYME, or similar tools.
Expertise in power system analysis, protection, and control.
Experience working on renewable energy integration and grid modernisation projects.
Proficiency in electrical CAD software, simulation tools, and system modelling.
