Dermatology & Cosmetic Center PLLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Histotech focusing on Mohs surgery to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in the daily operations of our center, where you will play a crucial part in the preparation and analysis of tissue specimens derived from Mohs micrographic surgery. As a Histotech, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely processing of samples, which contributes significantly to our goal of delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
* Prepare and process tissue samples for Mohs surgery accurately and efficiently.
* Perform embedding, sectioning, and staining of skin specimens to be analyzed by dermatologists.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the laboratory.
* Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal functionality.
* Assist in the quality control processes to guarantee the highest standards of histopathological analysis.
* Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize workflow and enhance patient care.
* Stay updated with the latest developments in histotechnology and integrate best practices into daily operations.
* Accredited program in Histotechnology or equivalent training.
* National certification as a Histotechnologist (ASCP) or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a histology lab, preferably with Mohs surgical procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory processes.
* Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple samples and tasks efficiently.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment with a commitment to patient-centered care.
