The Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our supportive and passionate team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will help deliver high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), while playing an active part in the day-to-day life of the nursery. You will act as a key person to a small group of children, supporting their development, wellbeing, and learning journey, and working closely with families to ensure every child thrives. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children Deliver engaging, age-appropriate experiences in line with the EYFS Act as a key worker, building strong relationships with children and parents/carers Observe, assess, and record children’s progress using our digital systems Support inclusive practice, celebrating diversity and individual needs Work collaboratively with the team to plan the curriculum and daily routines Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and professionalism Support meal preparation and care routines, always prioritising children’s wellbeing Uphold Cosmos’ safeguarding, equality, and welfare policies at all times What We’re Looking For Essential Level 2 Early Years qualification (or above), or working towards Level 3 Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development A warm, positive, and enthusiastic approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to plan exciting, meaningful learning experiences Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain) Desirable Level 3 Early Years qualification Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) Experience supporting children with SEND A commitment to ongoing professional development Why Join Cosmos?
