Recruit talent that shapes futures
At London Early Years Foundation (LEYF), we’re proud to be London’s best-rated nursery group - and a social enterprise that reinvests every penny back into our children, families and teams.
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Officer to join our friendly, fast-paced recruitment team. You’ll be responsible for hiring brilliant people across our nurseries and central office - from early years educators to support staff - helping us deliver on our mission to change the world one child at a time.
This is a delivery-led role where you’ll manage vacancies, build trusted relationships with hiring managers, and create a candidate experience that reflects our values. You’ll be proactive, creative and resilient - someone who knows how to find great talent and help it grow. You’ll enjoy working in a high performing team and want to keep evolving how we do things.
What you’ll be doing…
1. Own recruitment across your area - from vacancy approval to accept
2. Build strong relationships with hiring managers and act as a trusted recruitment partner
3. Proactively source candidates using job boards, social media, referrals and outreach
4. Partner with colleges, job centres and community organisations to attract talent
5. Represent LEYF at careers fairs and events
6. Ensure we have compelling job adverts that reflect our mission and values
7. Screen and shortlist candidates, support interviews and ensure fair, robust decisions
8. Maintain talent pools and support future hiring needs
9. Use our ATS to manage vacancies and keep everything accurate and up to date
10. Monitor recruitment metrics and suggest improvements
11. Collaborate with our Recruitment Marketing team and wider colleagues
12. Support hiring managers to be confident, inclusive assessors
13. Contribute to a culture of learning, inclusion, fun and excellence
14. Usually our TA Officers work 2+ days on site (office, nursery or careers event) and hold 15-20 vacancies across their patch
We’re looking for you to…
15. Be delivery-led, organised, proactive and results-driven
16. Thrive in a fast-paced, mission-led environment
17. Enjoy building relationships and being in and around nurseries
18. Know what great talent looks like - and how to find it for challenging roles
19. Be resilient and resourceful, especially with hard-to-fill roles
20. Be confident using digital tools and directly sourcing creatively
21. Be kind, collaborative and curious - with a passion for people
Why you’ll love it here...
22. Make a real impact: Every hire you make helps shape a child’s future
23. Be trusted to deliver: You’ll have ownership and space to build strong relationships and make great decisions
24. Be part of a high-performing, supportive team
25. Flexibility: Hybrid working and a warm, family-friendly culture
26. Save on childcare: 70% nursery discount for your children or grandchildren
27. Recharge properly: 26 days’ holiday (including Christmas closure), plus your birthday off, and bank holidays
28. Good benefits: 7% employer pension, wellbeing support, discounts, and team events
29. We believe a diverse team makes us better – and we welcome you as you are
