We're supporting an innovative automotive client who are seeking a dynamic Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist to support the successful delivery of a key programme.
Role: Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist
Duration: 9 - 12 Months
Rate: £400 - £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Oxfordshire (2/3 days on-site)
You will own end‑to‑end procurement processes, lead supplier negotiations, support strategic decision-making, and contribute directly to the operational and commercial success of a key programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee C&P lifecycle, from supplier identification through tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and award.
Ensure compliance with approved sourcing strategies at programme and contract levels.
Lead supplier prequalification, onboarding, and relationship management.
Implement NDAs, T&Cs, and negotiation of commercial terms including IP and development activities.
Administer contracts including correspondence, notices, and claims assessment.
Resolve invoice queries relating to contracts and POs.
Identify, track and deliver cost‑reduction initiatives to support financial objectives.
Liaise with external regulators, auditors and stakeholders on all contract & procurement related matters.This role is central to ensuring all goods, services, and works are procured efficiently, transparently for a key project.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in automotive, engineering or similiar environments
A strong track record of delivering complex procurement and commercial outcomes.
Solid pre and post contract experience
Proven negotiation skills on commercial/contract terms
Risk management and cost projection experience
