About the Role
We are recruiting an LGV Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering vital waste collection services across the Barnsley borough. You will play an essential role in keeping the community clean, safe, and well-served.
This is a primarily driving-based role, operating a 26-tonne refuse collection vehicle, but you may be required to support with loading when needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely drive and operate a Class 2 (LGV) refuse collection vehicle.
* Work collaboratively within a waste collection team to complete daily routes.
* Supervise waste operatives and manage day-to-day operational tasks.
* Maintain paper or electronic records using handheld devices as required.
* Ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety standards and procedures.
* Provide excellent service to the community and respond to local priorities
