Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Essex

We’re looking for compassionate, confident SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in specialist and mainstream settings across Essex. You might be helping a child with autism navigate their school day, or offering a quiet anchor in a bustling classroom. Either way, your presence will mean everything.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEND
2. Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
3. Helping children build confidence, routines, and positive learning habits
4. Creating a safe, inclusive space where every child feels seen
You’ll need:
5. Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school-based or otherwise)
6. A calm, kind approach—even on the trickier days
7. Brilliant communication and a team-player attitude
