Graphics Unlimited (Vic) Pty Ltd, part of DWP Digital, is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Enterprise Tooling Team. In this role you will help shape and maintain digital solutions used by nearly every person in the UK each day.

Key Qualifications
* Proven experience delivering and supporting infrastructure services in a hybrid server estate that includes multiple Unix/Linux distributions, Windows Server, and containerised platforms.
* Experience applying Infrastructure as Code and delivering modern CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and others.
* Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders, and experience prioritising tasks and reporting to delivery managers.
* Working knowledge of ITIL practices and able to provide 2nd/3rd line support for incidents, problems, and changes.
* Competence in scripting across multiple languages to automate deployments and resolve issues on Linux/Unix and Windows systems.
* Proficiency with diagnostic tools and methods to analyse, troubleshoot, and improve performance.
Responsibilities
You will design, develop, deploy and support core IT services that monitor the health and performance of our infrastructure and applications. These services are critical to ensuring payments and citizen‑facing systems operate without disruption.
You will work with Autosys, our workload automation tool, and Linux‑based estate, with some Windows servers. You will also manage our hybrid hosting environment, deploying and supporting cloud instances via console or Infrastructure as Code. Knowledge of containerisation will be valuable.
Your role includes investigating issues, ensuring automation services run optimally and supporting upgrades and patches. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver robust, modern solutions and use tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace and BMC for proactive monitoring.
Wages, Pension & Benefits
Location: Newcastle – Benton Park View hub and later 1 Pilgrim Place, Newcastle city centre.
Hybrid Working: Some time at home and some face‑to‑face in the hub.
Pay: Up to £52,442.
Pension: Civil Service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97% (≈£12,000 per year).
Holiday: Generous leave package starting at 26 days, rising to 31 days. Up to 3 extra days off per month on flex‑time.
