We’re looking for a dedicated School Caretaker to join our friendly team and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff. This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, DIY, and being an essential part of the school community. Please note: A full UK driving licence is essential, as travel between two schools within our Trust will be required. Key Responsibilities: * Daily site inspections and basic maintenance/repairs. * Ensuring the site is opened/closed, secured, and safe each day. * Supporting with deliveries, contractors, and minor projects. * Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. * Responding to day-to-day facilities issues as they arise. * Weekly fire alarm testing. Requirements: * A reliable and organised individual with a can-do attitude. * Practical maintenance or caretaking experience preferred. * Someone who takes initiative and enjoys being hands-on. * A team player, flexible and ready to help where needed. * A full driving licence and access to transport. The ideal candidate would be spending 12 hours a week at the Yealmpton site and 25 hours a week at the Sherford site, hours can be flexible within the needs of the school. The Salary starts at £26,824 and increases by increments to £28,598. The successful candidate would need to be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check due to the nature of the role.
