Are you a dedicated educator looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? Amwell View School, located in Stanstead Abbotts, is seeking a full-time SEN Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team. Salary range: MPS1 to UPS3.
Amwell View School supports students aged 2-19 with learning difficulties, including autism, severe learning difficulties, and complex medical needs. You will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that caters to each student’s individual needs, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality SEN teaching to students aged 2-19 with a range of needs, including autism, SLD, and complex medical needs.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists) to develop personalised learning plans.
* Utilise a range of communication methods and strategies to support student learning and participation.
* Contribute to safeguarding and student welfare as part of a supportive school community.
Qualifications and Skills
* Relevant teaching qualification for SEN teaching.
* Experience working with students with special educational needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, families, and colleagues.
* Commitment to professional development in SEND, behaviour management, and alternative communication methods (Makaton, PECS, AAC).
