We will become known far and wide for the sumptuous food we prepare and fabulous ales, gins and mead we pour for the local community, travellers and guests staying.
We will be well known for our famous welcome, always warm and friendly, as this is so important to us. Getting to know our guests by name and giving them our time is very important to us and the guests love to get to know us all.
Over time we will became well known for our style of hospitality that everyone will love and for the experience the team give. We know if we always ensure our guests have a great time they will talk about us, which will make others want to come.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef, of a minimum 3 years experience at this level, to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in kitchen operations, demonstrating excellent leadership and supervisory skills. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will assist in managing kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality while supporting the Head Chef in food production and preparation. This role is essential to maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen environment within our hospitality establishment.
Responsibilities
* Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow.
* Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
* Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
* Excellent cooking skills with a passion for culinary arts.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
