Year 1 Class Teacher - September Start (Permanent)

A welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Tooting is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September.

The successful candidate will take on full classroom responsibilities within Year 1, supporting pupils as they transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1, with a strong emphasis on phonics, early reading, and foundational learning.

The Role Will Involve:
* Full teaching responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting
* Delivering engaging and structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
* Supporting pupils' phonics development and early literacy skills
* Preparing pupils for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check
* Working closely with support staff to ensure all pupils make progress
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold QTS and have experience teaching within Key Stage 1
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of phonics (e.g. Read Write Inc., Little Wandle or similar)
* Be confident in managing a class and setting clear expectations
* Show a proactive and reflective approach to teaching
* Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
