SEO Specialist

Future Fit Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior SEO Executive / SEO Specialist to join our in-house marketing team. This is a newly established position created to bring SEO strategy and execution under one roof, to support the ongoing growth of the Group and guide our organic approach. You'll own the organic search roadmap across our Group structure, with a core focus on Future Fit Training – the UK’s leading provider of health, fitness, and nutrition education.
As our SEO lead, you’ll be hands-on in planning, executing and optimising SEO strategy – covering technical SEO, AI advancements in Search, content optimisation, keyword research, on-page and off-page improvements, performance analysis, and everything in between. You'll work within and collaborate closely with our well-established Marketing Team covering: Digital, Brand & Content, Creative Delivery, and Experience & Engagement, to ensure SEO is embedded across all digital activity.
This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days per week spent at our Fareham office, where you’ll be part of a creative, collaborative, and high-performing team that’s passionate about pushing boundaries and achieving results.

What you’ll be doing:
* Lead the full organic search strategy across all brands, with a focus on Future Fit Training
* Conduct technical audits and implement technical SEO improvements
* Carry out keyword research and competitor analysis to inform content planning
* Collaborate with content writers to optimise landing pages, blogs, and new site sections
* Support site architecture improvements and SEO-friendly site structure
* Monitor performance using Google Search Console, GA4, and SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs)
* Track algorithm changes and continuously adapt strategy to maintain and grow rankings
* Report on SEO performance and share clear, actionable insights with the wider team
* Work closely with internal teams to align SEO with digital campaigns, UX, and CRO
What we’re looking for:
* Confidence in navigating the evolving search landscape, with a particular focus on AI
* Proven experience in a hands-on SEO role – agency or in-house
* Strong understanding of on-page, off-page and technical SEO best practices
* Confident using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog etc.
* Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms
* Ability to interpret data, spot trends, and present clear, actionable insights
* Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
* Collaborative approach – able to influence others and bring SEO to life across teams
* A self-starter mindset and the confidence to take ownership of SEO performance
* Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution
