We’re seeking an E-commerce Operations Manager to own end-to-end online sales performance—from site merchandising and inventory planning to multi-channel distribution and pricing strategy. Position Overview As our E-commerce Operations Manager, you will be the linchpin ensuring that every order—from Shopify to Amazon, TikTok Shop, and beyond—flows smoothly through warehousing, fulfilment, and delivery. You’ll shape our procurement and replenishment plans, optimize channel-specific pages, drive pricing and promotional strategies, and lead a small cross-functional team to deliver world-class service and profitability. Expanded Areas of Responsibility 1. Strategic Inventory & Purchasing Demand Forecasting & Replenishment Planning: Use historical sales data, seasonality trends, and campaign calendars to create accurate weekly and monthly purchasing plans. Stock Turnover & Dead-Stock Prevention: Monitor ageing reports; implement clearance or bundle strategies to ensure at least X× stock-turnover per annum and zero obsolete inventory. Supplier & Cost Management: Negotiate order quantities, lead times, and pricing with vendors to maximize margins and minimize carrying costs. 2. Multi-Channel Merchandising & Website Management Shopify Site Ownership: Configure and maintain themes, navigation, product taxonomy, and on-site promotions. Lead A/B tests on homepage banners, collection pages, and checkout flows. Channel Expansion & Optimization: Develop and maintain branded storefronts on Amazon, TikTok Shop, and other emerging marketplaces—ensuring consistency in imagery, copy, and pricing. Content & SEO Collaboration: Work closely with Digital Marketing to optimize product titles, descriptions, and backend keywords for organic search and PPC efficiency. 3. Pricing & Promotional Strategy Dynamic Pricing Engine: Monitor competitor pricing, marketplace fee structures, and margin targets to set and adjust retail prices across all channels in real time. Promotional Planning: Coordinate site-wide sales, coupon codes, and channel-specific deals—aligning calendar events (e.g., Black Friday, Valentine’s Day) with inventory and marketing roadmaps. 4. Fulfilment & Logistics Leadership Process Design & Continuous Improvement: Map current-order workflows; identify bottlenecks. Third-Party Logistics Management: Oversee warehouses and 3PL partners—managing SLAs, inbound replenishment, cross-docking, and reverse logistics for returns. Packaging & Quality Assurance: Define packaging standards to protect fragile goods, minimize waste, and reinforce brand experience. 5. Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration Direct Reports: Manage and mentor a Customer Service Representative and a Packing & Shipping Assistant—establishing KPIs, coaching on best practices, and conducting performance reviews. Stakeholder Partnerships: Align with the Digital Marketing Manager on email, social, and paid-ad campaigns. Coordinate with the Web Administrator to ensure analytics tagging, site speed, and data accuracy. Work alongside the CTO to integrate new fulfilment technologies (e.g., ERP connectors, order-management systems). 6. Data, Reporting & P&L Accountability KPI Dashboards: Build and maintain real-time dashboards tracking order volumes, average order value (AOV), fulfilment costs, on-time delivery rate, and return rates. Monthly Performance Reviews: Present insights to the CMO and Head of Online—highlighting wins, identifying risks (e.g., stockouts), and proposing strategic adjustments to hit revenue and margin targets. Budget Oversight: Manage annual fulfilment budget, negotiate cost reductions, and forecast spend by channel. Qualifications 5 years in e-commerce operations, fulfilment management, or inventory planning—ideally within fast-moving consumer goods. Proven track record optimizing Shopify stores plus at least two additional sales channels (e.g., Amazon, TikTok Shop). Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel or BI-tool proficiency. Excellent negotiation and vendor-management experience. Hands-on familiarity with order-management or ERP systems. Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
