ABOUT THE ROLE
The Ecommerce SEO Lead will shape content strategy daily, develop and own our UK Ecommerce SEO strategy, and manage a team of Ecom SEO professionals focused on growing affiliate revenues. Working closely with SEO, Ecommerce, editorial, and commercial teams, you'll stay ahead of trends, product reviews, and launches.
Beyond daily SEO tasks, you'll coordinate with the wider SEO team to align strategies across brands and portfolios, ensuring consistency and driving growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mentor and manage a team of Ecommerce SEO professionals to increase affiliate revenues.
* Coordinate with the SEO team to prevent strategy overlap.
* Ensure consistent Ecommerce SEO strategy across all brands.
* Develop and implement international Ecommerce SEO strategies.
* Monitor and report on Ecommerce SEO performance.
* Identify growth opportunities, drive innovation and efficiency.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-departmentally to align SEO with business goals.
* Work with brand and Ecommerce editors.
* Anticipate market and behavioral changes affecting Search.
* Implement SEO content strategies aligned with editorial calendars, focusing on keywords that boost affiliate revenue and spotting emerging trends.
* Optimize content regularly and strategize around key events like Black Friday and Prime Day.
* Create reports on trending topics using tools like Google Trends.
* Update content in our CMS, including meta tags, URLs, and internal links.
* Analyze reports, Google Analytics, and communicate insights to teams.
* Track article rankings and report significant changes.
* Stay current with industry trends, test new features, and adapt to algorithm updates.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU
* Proven hands-on SEO experience.
* Commercial mindset with experience in affiliate marketing.
* Knowledge of on-page ranking factors and extensive keyword research skills.
* Understanding seasonal keyword variations and search-specific content creation.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills.
* Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships.
* Passion for staying current with SEO developments.
* Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and enterprise CMS.
* Willingness to expand SEO tool knowledge, including Excel.
* Interest or experience in Homes, Fashion, Beauty, Lifestyle, or Wellness is a plus.
