Children's Manager – Loughborough – £60K

About the Role
Are you passionate about transforming the lives of young people? Amber Mace is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager for a 5‑bed children's residential home in Loughborough. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young people's lives while leading a committed and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each young person's care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
* Build and maintain a high-performing team, supporting recruitment, induction, and staff development to ensure continuity of care.
* Implement systems to consult young people about the care they receive and assign Key Workers to implement childcare plans.
* Maintain high standards of care in line with National Minimum Standards and the home's Statement of Purpose.
* Handle complaints, child protection concerns, and collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals.
* Participate in care planning and review meetings.
* Ensure effective commercial management, maintaining the home within budget while upholding quality standards.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months.
* Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, regulatory requirements, and trauma‑informed care.
* Excellent planning, organisation, budget management, and team leadership skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
