Job Description
Senior Data Analyst — Cardiff, on a 6 month fixed-term contract.
In this role, you’ll combine strong analytical capability with a passion for data visualisation, collaboration and continuous improvement. You’ll help shape how analytics is delivered and support others to develop their data skills and confidence.
What you’ll be doing
* Scoping and guiding analytics projects from design through to technical delivery
* Developing efficient, repeatable and automated reporting and analytics processes
* Using data manipulation techniques and tools to create robust, structured datasets
* Producing clear and engaging dashboards and visualisations using Power BI or Tableau
* Championing data visualisation best practice and raising standards across the business
* Working closely with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into insights
* Managing relationships, resolving issues and acting as a bridge between business and technical teams
Who we’re looking for
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to work confidently with large and complex datasets
* Proven experience building dashboards and visualisations using Power BI and/or Tableau
* Solid experience using SQL for data manipulation and reporting automation
* Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders
* A collaborative approach with the ability to explain data clearly to non‑technical audiences
* A proactive mindset with a focus on improving ways of working and delivery
