The role
The Intake Auditor is an important role in ensuring that Boohoo Group products meet defined quality standards set by Product Technology, Product Safety & Compliance. The role involves conducting merchandise inspections and audits, supporting the Senior Intake Auditor on a day-to-day basis, and ensuring that products held for sale are safe, fit for purpose, and legally compliant in the markets in which we retail.

Responsible Sourcing and Product Operations reimagines how the Group works globally. We cover Sustainability, Sourcing, Ethical Trade, Product Quality, and Operational Efficiency. We align all areas to achieve our goals, constantly pushing for better, while maintaining ethical and sustainable practices.
What you'll be doing
* Conduct post-shipment inspections and targeted audits based on returns analysis and customer complaints to verify product quality.
* Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from standards with clear descriptions.
* Record inspection results accurately and generate detailed reports.
* Ensure products comply with industry regulations, standards, and safety guidelines, staying updated on relevant requirements.
* Liaise with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and provide feedback.
* Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
* Participate in training programs to enhance inspection skills and stay updated on quality control practices.

* Proven experience in quality control within the fashion or apparel industry.
* Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
* Detail-oriented with excellent observational and analytical skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently, follow guidelines, and adhere to procedures.
* Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
* A problem-solving mindset committed to product quality improvement.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to product quality and safety is advantageous.
