 1. Senior Support worker-Shift lead
 2. Thursday to Sunday- 4x pm shifts (3.30pm -12 midnight)
 3. 32 hours per week plus relieving 
About the Business:
The Addington hostel has been providing supportive housing wrap around services for men for 130 years in Christchurch. This is a large hostel site of up to 88 beds with a mix of independent units, shared house and hostel settings. The service has focused upon men who may have had prior involvement with Addiction, Mental health or Corrections services
About the Role:
Support workers are a key staff member of the wider team, who provide the back bone to the 24 hour staff team across a 2 week fixed roster. This role fills a vital part of that roster being both evenings and weekends each week. The Senior Support worker leads the shift and helps to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the site over that shift
What will your responsibilities be:
 4. Supporting the team of other staff over the shift
 5. Keeping the overall site safe and secure during the shift
 6. Liaise with on call clinical staff as needed 
 7. Medications each shift
 8. Lead the handovers between shifts
 9. Client notes
 10. Food services 
Our ideal candidate will:
 11. Must have a Level 4 Cert in Health and Wellbeing (or approved equivalent) 
 12. Will consider someone who already has Level 3 and is less than 3 months from completing their Level 4 
 13. Must have at least 3 years or prior NZ work experience in Housing, Addictions, Mental Health or Corrections services 
 14. At least 2 years prior experience in leading a team in a similar role

This role is permanent part time and hours worked will be 32 per week.
The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $31.00 and $35.00 depending upon your qualifications and experience in a similar role
