Join us as we jointly lead a friendly and enthusiastic community team at Gravesham Community Hospital with another full‑time Team Lead Speech and Language Therapist.
Main Responsibility
You will work as Team Lead of the community Speech and Language Therapy team in North Kent, planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the service on a day‑to‑day basis. Your clinical work will cover assessment, diagnosis, therapy and advice for patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, supporting them to reach their potential and live their lives to the full.
Ideal Candidate
* Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree qualification
* Registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
* Minimum of three years experience working with patients with communication and swallowing disorders caused by a range of aetiologies, using a broad range of assessments and therapeutic interventions
* Confidence using IT systems and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Package Description
As a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist you will be part of our team primarily based at Gravesham Community Hospital, Gravesend. You will receive an AFC Band 7 salary with NHS Pension, full Agenda for Change terms and conditions, and a high‑cost area supplement of 5 % of the basic salary.
