Job overview
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is looking to recruit a Clinical Specialist Haematology Oncology Dietitian (Band 7).
The post holder will work alongside the dietetic team (11.2 WTE) including the existing Haematology Dietitians (job share), other specialist and band 6 dietitians and dietetic assistants, as well as our nutrition nurses, AHPs, ward staff and Haematology MDT.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an experienced clinician who will work alongside our existing Haematology Dietitian (job share) to provide a high-quality evidence-based dietetic service to the Haematology Oncology ward, Teenage and Young Adults inpatients and the Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Unit at Clatterbridge Liverpool.
You will be involved in helping to develop resources and as new treatments are introduced at Clatterbridge (e.g., CAR-T).
You will be expected to support Band 6 Dietitians and Dietetics Assistants and lead student training to P1 and P2 Students if required.

Person specification
Qualifications
* BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics/PhD Nutrition and Dietetics
* Current registration with HCPC
* Membership of BDA or equivalent professional indemnity insurance
* Supervisory skills training, minimum introductory level
* Advanced BDA course in nutritional support, e.g. Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Group Course
* Evidence of postgraduate study in a specialist area to Masters level or equivalent; attended leadership/management training
Knowledge and Expertise
* Extensive clinical experience in a broad range of patients and settings
* Sound knowledge of current issues relating to complex enteral and parenteral nutrition
* Ability to support patients being discharged home on a tube feed
* Evidence of service review/development
Experience
* Experience in oral and enteral nutritional support
* Experience in parenteral nutrition
* Experience in training junior members of staff and student dietitians
* Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Experience in conducting audits and research, including the ability to analyse and interpret statistics
