Overview
We work are a Family Help Team and work with a range of families including those in need of Family Help Assessment, Targeted Early Support, Children in Need, those who are on the Edge of Care or Child Protection and Court, and children in care until they have a plan of permanency outside of their parents care or with a plan of reunification home. Our Family Help Team is multi-agency with Family Support Worker, Family Practitioners, Social Workers, Systemic Consultants, PCSO's and soon NHS Nurse - all working together to meet the holistic needs to our families to reduce risk and keep families together. We work with families under the principles of Restorative Practice to identify plans which meet each individual family's needs and is used with every family, to help them identify positive change in order to develop a plan that works for them. Role and Location
We are recruiting for the role of a Social Worker in our Family Help Team covering Nuneaton & Bedworth on a full time/permanent basis. Up to £51,726.00 per annum. Including a £3,500 pro-rated market supplement which is subject to pension, tax and NI deductions - T&C's apply. (Relocation Allowance up to £8,000 may be available if the relevant policy criteria are met - T&C's apply.). Working hours - 37 hrs per week, with agile and flexible working options generally worked from 9am till 5.30 pm Monday - Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays.
Responsibilities
* Work with families including those in need of Family Help Assessment, Targeted Early Support, Children in Need, on the Edge of Care or Child Protection and Court, and children in care until permanency or reunification plans are in place.
* Identify plans to meet each individual family's needs using Restorative Practice principles to help families identify positive change and develop a workable plan.
* Engage with children and families, build relationships, and collaborate within a multi-agency team to reduce risk and keep families together.
* Record and produce concise, effective, and accurate reports; communicate clearly and professionally.
* Work within the Restorative Practice framework and contribute to a supportive learning environment for social workers.
Qualifications
* Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW))
* In depth experience in children's social work and experience of complex cases
* Excellent analytical skills with ability to make well informed decisions
* Ability to record and produce concise, effective, and accurate reports
* Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with children and families
* Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
