The Position:
Sales Assistant
Hours:
Variable hours on offer in line with the needs and demands of our business working on a staff 'rotor' basis. The candidate MUST be able to work weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) as well as weekdays where required. They must also be flexible to work the days/hours on offer as well as providing cover for sickness absence outside of the rotor if required at short notice. The roll may lead to a permanent, Full-Time position for the right candidate.
The Job:
Incorporates a variety of tasks as required in a retail environment. Main duties include:
Operating the till; assisting and advising customers, answering the telephone, taking customer orders, restocking shelves, assisting with unloading of feed deliveries, loading customers car's, checking off deliveries, labelling of goods, merchandising, cleaning the store, fitting hats and body protectors and any other related duties as required.

You will be a diligent and trustworthy individual with a professional attitude to work. You will possess excellent communication skills both with colleagues and customers and have a kind, friendly, polite and approachable attitude both in and out of your work environment. You must possess good basic maths and English Skills and have an excellent telephone manner, an enthusiastic approach to sales, have excellent customer care skills, be flexible about your work patterns and possess the ability to listen and learn. This role also requires a good level of fitness as heavy lifting will also be part of the role.
Experience:
An equestrian background is required for this role, however, previous retail experience is not required as full training will be provided.
