JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am looking for a female person to assist me with taking care of my partner who has dementia. She is in her 60s and lives in the Heath area of Cardiff. The person must be caring and understanding, and have a sense of humour, who can work with me. Someone who is flexible with the aim to build a good working relationship.
Working hours would be mostly evenings to be arranged. You would be expected to take care of my partner and engage in some activities such as table tennis, jigsaws, maybe go for walks weather permitting. She just likes to be active or busy.
Purpose of Job
I need support with activities within my home as well as accessing the local community.
Place of Work
I live in the Heath area of Cardiff. Travel away from normal place of work may be required on occasions. A full driving licence for a manual vehicle is essential.
Hours of Work
I have 20 hours a week of support agreed, which I need to use flexibly. Ideally, I would have two personal assistants who would work not necessarily equally, to cover the hours available.
Rate of Pay
£14.70 an hour.
Tasks Involved

About the Job
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
