Mechanical Supervisor (Plumber)
Location: HMP Coldingley, Shaftesbury Rd, Bisley, Woking GU24 9EX
Salary: £47,045.49 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Coldingley, a category C adult male prison.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with at least one of the following qualifications and a combination of the following skills and experiences:
* Two years\' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent - Desirable
* Be familiar with and able to work to Water supply regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements - Desirable
* Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems - Desirable
* Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations - Desirable
* Fully qualified tradesperson to NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline, plumbing or equivalent - Essential
* Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements-- Desirable
* Good Health & Safety knowledge. - Desirable
* Unvented water heater vessel course G3- Highly desirable
* L8 awareness training - Desirable (Provided if required)

Responsibilities
* Support and operate mechanical services within the HMP Coldingley Facilities Maintenance Team, contributing to a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.
* Collaborate with colleagues across trades (Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators) to deliver reliable facilities maintenance and improvements.
* Contribute to the mission to promote rehabilitation and positive change as part of a team that truly makes a difference.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified tradesperson to NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline, plumbing or equivalent — Essential
* Two years' experience in a plumbing role or equivalent — Desirable
