Overview
An exciting opportunity to join a highly respected consumer-focused organization within a growing pricing function. The role focuses on shaping pricing strategy and delivering commercial impact across the consumer business.
Responsibilities
- Support the successful delivery of Consumer pricing strategy and initiatives, driving profitability and trading performance.
- Build, develop and enhance predictive pricing models to understand customer behavior including propensity to purchase, claim or cancel.
- Analyse price trial and competitor pricing data to support pricing optimisation and commercial decision making.
- Develop forecasting models and clearly explain weekly and annual variances versus forecast.
- Reconcile, validate and prepare datasets, ensuring data processing is accurate, efficient and robust.
- Monitor pricing model performance over time and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Work closely with implementation teams to ensure models are deployed correctly and performing as expected.
- Investigate new analytical and modelling techniques to improve model performance and pricing capability.
- Ensure all pricing activity aligns with FCA regulatory guidance and internal governance processes.
- Collaborate closely with Pricing, Finance, Marketing, Insights and Compliance teams across the business.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business, supporting cross-functional problem solving and delivery.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in a numerical subject or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Strong pricing experience within Insurance, Financial Services, Banking or a similar analytical environment.
- Strong understanding of pricing and analytical techniques, including GLMs/GBMs.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience using coding tools such as SQL, Snowflake or SAS.
- Experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience using statistical modelling software such as Python, R, Emblem or Radar.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build credibility and trust at all levels.
- Commercially minded with strong financial acumen and delivery focus.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation and enhanced performance.
