Responsibilities / Tasks
1. Managing large projects (usually > 5Mio. €) as a Professional Project Manager
2. Overall responsible for the execution of a large project being involved in the initial quotation phase right up to commissioning, handover and project close down - often cross-cultural and sometimes across different GEA companies
3. Overall responsible for the financial performance and result of the large project, ensuring the best outcome for GEA
4. Organising the project organisation while being responsible for the project success and providing strong direction for the project team
5. Responsible for ensuring a strong culture of ownership within the project team in meeting the project objectives if applicable beyond their own GEA entity
6. Planning and maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress including the man-hour estimates and margin goals.
7. Responsible for reporting of the development in the project to multiple stakeholders fx. steering committee, customer. Manages complex stakeholder relationships
8. Responsible for ensuring that tasks are coordinated and carried out in a manner which is in line with GEA’s standard practice and procedures and meets with the customer expectations as far as commercially possible.
9. Responsible for completion of large projects according to scope, cost, quality and schedule – deliver project within budget
10. Responsible for the customer management and satisfaction during the execution of the large project
11. Ensure that the site work is managed by the site manager and that H&S is implemented at all time. Attend client meetings on site to facilitate the commissioning of GEA supplied equipment and proving all the KPI’s. Usually High amount of installation hours.
12. Responsible for Claim Management & Change order management
13. Perform Risk Management to mitigate and minimize project risks
14. Motivate, capture and evaluate Lessons Learned of a project at a team perspective
15. Create Procurement plan with supply chain to schedule fabrication and component receipt to meet project schedule. Ultimately responsible for the RFQ process for installation, contractor selection, contractor management.
16. Lead a large team of project engineers without direct line reporting relation
Your Profile / Qualifications
17. Degree within engineering
18. The ideal candidate holds a PMI certification or another relevant project management education
19. Experience working on multinational projects
20. Experienced in intercultural management
21. Strong in project management methodologies and solid skills in commercial project management
22. More than 5 years of Project Management experience from large technical projects
23. Experience in handling legal and contractual matters
24. Experience in negotiation and dispute resolution
25. Direct people management through influential leadership capabilities. Potentially also through others. Leader of others.
26. Demonstrates commercial awareness exploring risks and opportunities of the business. Strives to maximize commercial benefit.
