Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £35,000- £48,000
Mechanical Design Engineer required for a robotics & automation company based in Bedford. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in SolidWorks and have a strong background in mechanical design, product development, and manufacturing processes, additionally if you have experience in CNC machining it's a great bonus.
Mechanical Design Engineer Overview
* Design robotic automation components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
* Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing.
* Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure integrated system performance.
* Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and tolerance analysis.
* Support prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical systems.
* Optimize designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
* Generate and maintain accurate engineering documentation.
* Assist in troubleshooting and improving existing systems in the field.
