You will be responsible for the delivery of client-based assignments, ensuring the team’s audit work and reporting is of high quality. This role will include leading and coaching team members as well as managing relationships with clients. The role will also contribute to the success of the business unit through wider business and people development.
Role Requirements
* Studying towards ACA/ACCA qualification.
* Significant auditing and accounting experience (ideally UK GAAP).
* Experience of Non-Profits, pensions and corporates desirable.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and ideally Caseware.
* A passion for client service and a proactive, energetic approach.
* A keenness to further your own personal development and career goals.

Your Direct Client Responsibilities
* Acting as part of a team, or the first point of contact for clients on a day-to-day basis.
* Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills (proficient in Excel and Word).
* Anticipating client needs, and communicating effectively with clients in both written and verbal exchanges.
* Acting in the Firm’s best interests at all times and maintaining integrity in all dealings.
* Assisting in the planning, execution and finalisation of audit assignments, providing solutions and seeking input for areas of concern.
* Understanding and applying the Firm’s risk policies and relevant regulatory rules.
* Managing risk (reputational, operational and credit) in client interactions.
* Showing sense of urgency and attention to detail to support timely delivery.
* Producing work for review by the team leader and Manager/Partner, highlighting issues and providing potential solutions.
* Demonstrating business development skills and identifying additional sales opportunities where appropriate.
* Applying a problem-solving approach and leveraging research to deliver client solutions.
* Identifying areas for client process improvement and assisting with audit findings reports.
* Monitoring progress against the audit budget and explaining variances to the Manager.
* Willingness to travel; primarily Midlands with occasional support for other UK offices.

* Strong analytical ability and the skill to interpret financial data and source documents.
* Ability to participate in the audit process with consideration of risk and accounting matters.
* Lead fieldwork on client sites and coordinate with other departments for smooth delivery.
