Working as a Key Account Manager for InproSeal, a Dover company, you will be responsible for increasing penetration in existing accounts as well as identifying new markets and customers for our range of custom-engineered bearing protection and shaft sealing solutions used in industrial rotating equipment. You will interface with customers at multiple levels (technical, commercial, management), delivering the value propositions of engineered solutions. The ideal candidate must be a results-driven sales professional with a proven track record, demonstrating initiative and ownership of business goals.
What You Will Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* At least three (3) years of experience in sales of highly engineered products
* Experience selling products or services for rotating equipment and turbomachinery applications, such as pumps, compressors, turbines, or reciprocating compressor components
* Ability to travel internationally within Europe regularly
* Proven ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, aiming for "Trusted Advisor" status
* Confident and technically skilled self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage a consultative sales process
* Experience with continuous improvement tools such as process analysis, Kaizen, and Lean techniques
* Ability to inspire and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams
What You Will Do
* Develop and deepen relationships with customers' management, procurement, and engineering teams to promote the company's value proposition and increase share of wallet
* Advance customer relationships to increase engagement across organizational levels
* Position as a value provider rather than a commodity supplier, striving for "Trusted Advisor" status where appropriate
* Understand and align with major customers' market drivers and strategies, providing feedback to inform company growth strategies
* Provide regular market and customer feedback to the management team for planning purposes
* Identify and capture new design opportunities
* Oversee the development of conceptual solutions with the engineering team and lead proposal presentations to customers
* Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and implement appropriate pricing strategies
* Gather and submit forecasting data based on customer business indicators and planning
