The job itself
We are looking for exceptional, caring, and flexible people to join our Lifeline team, to play a key role in a service that helps adults live independently in their own homes. You will support Residents by completing routine welfare checks to people who live on Housing Schemes, Homes for older people and who also have a Lifeline unit installed. Visiting customers for welfare checks on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis depending on their needs. Signing up new customers who move onto the housing sites.
On some occasions you may need to Respond to emergency lifeline activations, examples of emergency responses include providing basic first aid, calling the emergency services, using specialist lifting equipment to help somebody up who has fallen, supporting people in mental health crisis and much more.
This is a fast paced and rewarding job role, with daily interaction with Customers and Service Users. Full training will be provided.
You will work independently between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
We are looking for candidates that are enthusiastic and committed to providing a high-quality service with a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. You will need to demonstrate that you can communicate clearly and concisely and have basic IT skills; no previous medical experience or training is necessary although you will need a caring attitude and a willingness to learn.
You should be able to demonstrate you are organised, customer focused and able to work to specific timescales. Having an adaptable approach to your working day is essential coupled with a positive and proactive attitude.
You must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
We are looking to recruit to the Haltemprice area but this role is community based and candidates must have the ability to work flexibly and travel across the whole of the East Riding to meet the needs of the service.
