About the role
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food, emphasizing ethical sourcing and recommending recipes to customers. You'll bring our ethos — passionate Partners serving food lovers — to life through your enthusiasm and friendliness, building lasting relationships and earning customer trust and loyalty. Your efforts will help maximize sales and profit.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure your food counter maintains high presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
2. Monitor stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
3. Handle open food carefully, following all health & safety protocols and reducing food wastage.
4. Maintain knowledge of new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
5. Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
* Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
