BAM FM is recruiting a Site Technician to join our team. The Site Technician will be based at Tudor Grange Dingle Lane Academy in Solihull.
Available Shift Pattern:
Working 40 hours per week.
Shift times to be confirmed.
Pay: GBP 13.50 per hour.

Your mission
In conjunction with common roles, the technician will be multi-skilled, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance in line with BAM FM HR, H&S, Quality, and Environmental policies and procedures. This role includes a significant portion of Grounds Maintenance, and much of the work will involve outdoor activities.
Principle Accountabilities:
1. Responding to daily requests/enquiries, and resolving problems presented by Authority representatives, building users, and other BAM FM staff.
2. Proactive and flexible approach to general site maintenance issues and porterage duties.
3. Deliver a high level of customer satisfaction based on response speed and completion rates.
4. Develop and manage ongoing and routine maintenance programs.
5. Provide detailed information to enable accurate purchasing of spares and consumables via the helpdesk.
6. Responsible for the safe and secure storage of spare parts, materials, tools, and consumables.
7. Ensure timely reporting and resolution of maintenance issues.
8. Provide technical support to colleagues when requested.
9. Adhere to health & safety standards as per company procedures for external contractors.
10. Carry out risk assessments and method statements.
11. Perform daily room setups and porterage requests.
12. Manage the BMS system and generate monthly reports.
13. Provide emergency access to the school site and out-of-hours cover for maintenance emergencies.
14. Perform any other duties as required.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
* Good IT skills.
* Full driving license.
* Experience working in an educational environment is advantageous.
