Registered Manager - 1-Bed Children's Home (EBD) Location: Barnsley, S73 Salary: £43,000 per annum Potential Earnings: Up to £47,000 through bonuses Opportunity We are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead our established 1-bed children's residential home in Barnsley (S73), supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a well-performing home that already holds an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating, and to continue driving excellence in care, stability, and positive outcomes for the young people in placement. The Role As the Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and continued success of this solo-occupancy home. You'll ensure that all standards of care meet or exceed Ofsted expectations while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and child-focused environment. You'll work closely with a dedicated and skilled team to provide consistent, trauma-informed support to young people, helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day management of the 1-bed home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations. Safeguard and promote the welfare and well-being of the young person in placement. Maintain the home's 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating through strong leadership and continuous improvement. Recruit, develop, and support a small, committed staff team. Build positive relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals. Manage reporting, documentation, and quality assurance processes to a high standard. Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support as needed. Foster a culture of respect, empowerment, and child-centred care. About You Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a children's residential setting. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards). Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and child protection. Experience supporting young people with EBD and complex needs. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
