An opportunity has arisen for you to join our Emergency Gynaecology Ward St Mary's Hospital at Wythenshawe Hospital, within Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.
Ward F16 is a 15 in patient bedded emergency ward with a designated 4 bedded day case unit delivering an exemplary standard of nursing care to our patients. Emergency patients are received from the Emergency Gynaecology Unit, ED and other neighbouring health care settings.
Our designated day case unit provides urgent theatre for our emergency patients 5 days per week in conjunction with our emergency theatres.
Join us and our team, working flexibly across a range of day and night shifts, providing compassionate care to people when they need you most.
Ideally, you’ll already have some caring experience. You might have gained this in a healthcare or social care setting, or the service industry. Or you might be a carer or guardian outside of work. It’s all relevant and useful experience. If you’ve got the personal skills, resilience, and work ethic we’re looking for, it’s a good start.
If you’ve already got qualifications like the National Care Certificate or Level 2 Apprenticeship in healthcare, that’s great. But don’t worry, our Clinical Support Worker Development Programme will support you to gain the skills and knowledge you need. After this training, you’ll be a well-prepared and fully qualified Nursing Assistant, with the opportunity to train and progress.
By joining us as a Nursing Assistant, you’ll make sure our patients have the quality care and support they deserve.
These roles are vital and varied. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work with patients who are experiencing emergency gynaecological/pregnancy conditions requiring treatment and investigations in a variety of forms. You will have involvement in the care of patients who have a physical/learning disability, have dementia or who suffer from anxiety. Whatever reason a loved one is in hospital, it takes its toll on their family too. You’ll treat every person you come across with dignity, respect, kindness, and patience.
