Kitchen Manager Needed Run a clean kitchen. Lead a strong crew. Execute at a high level. Established in 2012, The Dirty Buffalo brings the bold flavor and spirit of Western New York to Hampton Roads. We’re a family-owned, locally operated brand known for legendary wings, genuine hospitality, and a team-first culture. We’re continuing to expand across the Southeast—and we want you to grow with us! We’re looking for a Kitchen Manager who takes pride in running a sharp back-of-house operation, developing people, and delivering consistent, high-quality food—every shift, every day. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a clipboard-from-the-office job. You’ll be on the line, on expo, and in the kitchen—leading by example and holding standards. What You’ll Do As a Kitchen Manager, you’ll be a key leader in the restaurant and an ambassador for our brand. Lead and manage the back-of-house team through clear expectations and strong systems Hire, train, coach, and develop kitchen team members Execute consistent food quality and presentation at all times Manage kitchen scheduling, labor targets, and productivity Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards Prepare food, work the line, and run the expo window as needed Enforce brand standards, procedures, checklists, and recipes Communicate clearly with the FOH leadership, management team, and corporate partners Maintain equipment, cleaning schedules, and preventative maintenance standards What We’re Looking For Kitchen leadership experience A systems-driven mindset—you believe consistency is king Comfort leading in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to stay calm, focused, and solution-oriented under pressure Basic computer skills Desire for a long-term career with room to grow The Physical Side of the Job You must be able to, with or without reasonable accommodation: Be on your feet for most of your shift (up to 10 hours) Work weekends and holidays (up to ~50 hours per week) Lift up to 50 lbs Work in all weather conditions (Buffalo roots—we don’t close for snow) Operate standard kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, slicers, and dish machines Communicate effectively with both guests and team members What The Dirty Buffalo Offers You Competitive salary performance-based bonuses (paid quarterly) Full benefits package including: Health, dental, vision 401(k) Life & disability insurance Parental leave Free meals A fun, energetic, team-driven work environment Structured training and clear operational systems Real growth opportunities with a brand expanding across the East Coast If you take pride in a clean kitchen, strong systems, and developing great cooks—we want to meet you.
