The programme includes Digital Skills, Employability, Skills for the workplace, Confidence and British Sign Language along with a programme of Health and Wellbeing Courses. Sessions are typically of 2-3 hours duration and take place mornings afternoons, or evenings. Course duration is Adult Term Time only and will vary from 5 to 30 weeks and may include one day workshops and taster courses. Main Place of Work: Various Adult Education Centres and a range of outreach venues such as Libraries, jobcentres and Community Centres across the Vale of Glamorgan. Some courses may take place online using Zoom or other platforms. About You You will need: a good level of education and demonstrate good literacy and numeracy. a high level of knowledge and experience in your subject area. a relevant teaching qualification or currently completing a teaching qualification (Essential). experience of teaching or training adults (desirable). a relevant Practitioners Qualification (desirable for applicants who wish to teach ESOL or Essential Skills). understanding of assessment or experience of delivering accredited programmes. confidence in delivering learning using digital technology. to be able to deliver hybrid learning (face to face and online) where relevant, or be willing to undertake further training. excellent communication skills and be able to deliver innovative and creative learning which engages and challenges your learners. an understanding of the needs of adult learners and an empathy for vulnerable learners. a willingness to undertake further training as required.
