CNC Miller - 5 Axis Precision Engineering

Hours: Monday to Friday, day shift
Salary: £38,000

The Role 5 Axis CNC Miller required to join a precision engineering business producing high-precision, close-tolerance components in a low-volume, made-to-order environment.
Working within a cell-driven setup, you will program, set, and run 5-axis CNC milling machines, supporting quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery across regulated sector work.
The workshop operates modern palletised and robotic-loaded 5-axis machines, including Brother, Matsuura, and DMG.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program, set, and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines
2. Prepare tooling, fixtures, workholding, probes, and offsets
3. Load and verify programs and setup sheets
4. Carry out first-off and in-process inspection
5. Optimise toolpaths, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies
6. Monitor tool wear and surface finish
7. Work to engineering drawings and GD&T
8. Maintain production and quality documentation
9. Work safely and to process
About You
10. Experienced CNC Miller with strong 5-axis machining background
11. Confident using CAM software or editing programs at machine level
12. Comfortable machining stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, and engineering alloys
13. Used to producing close-tolerance components
14. Regulated sector experience such as medical or aerospace advantageous
Location & Commute
15. Based in West Leeds – LS5 (Kirkstall)
16. Commutable from Pudsey, Bramley, Horsforth, Farsley, and Armley
17. Good access via the A65 and Leeds inner ring road
