Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an established Sustainability professional to deliver on a major public sector contract.
The client is a major government customer with an extensive estate of offices and facilities. The employer aims to provide services across Engineering, Cleaning, and Sustainability to ensure the estate is well maintained.
You will work within a team matrix structure, managing relationships with key stakeholders, including customer contacts, contractors, and the wider account team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Sustainability professional to develop within one of the largest Sustainability FM UK contracts.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the delivery of sustainability services according to the contract
* Developing and implementing the Sustainability Management Plan, monitoring progress, and ensuring reporting requirements are met
* Growing and engaging with the employee champions network
* Setting environmental objectives and targets annually
* Establishing governance frameworks and engaging with senior stakeholders to keep sustainability plans relevant
* Implementing digital approaches to CSR and sustainability reporting
* Validating carbon data for reporting and seeking external certification
* Collaborating with the Operations Performance Sustainability team to develop the Sustainability Management System, including core documents
* Designing reporting and assurance processes for sustainability, supporting other departments
* Working with site teams to develop environmental risk strategies and conducting site visits as needed
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in sustainability delivery and knowledge of ISO standards
* Experience working within complex matrix team structures preferred
