Escape is working with an established manufacturing business in Fife who are looking to appoint an experienced Purchasing Manager. This is a key role and the Purchasing Manager will ensure materials are available to meet production demands.Responsibilities of the role:Leading and mentor a small purchasing teamWorking with planning and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levelsProcessing purchase orders and ensuring materials are available for productionMaintaining accurate MRP data – pricing and inventory levelsBuild strong supplier relationships to protect lead times and minimise supply disruptionDriving continuous improvement across procurement processesEnsuring compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards and regulatory requirementsKnowledge and experience required for the role:Solid purchasing experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environmentExperience in managing successful teamsExperienced in using MRP systemsSolid understanding of BOMs, inventory management and forecastingStrong problem-solving skillsConfident communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and SuppliersA proactive, hands-on approach with a track record of improving processesIf you would like to find out more about this opportunity, please send your CV today.
