We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our clients family run business in the Mintlaw area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in using Sage. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records whilst assisting in the office. It is desirable to have a driving licence due to the office location. Hours: Monday to Friday - flexible start/finish times up to 39 hours per week Responsibilities: General office duties; answering of calls, emails, dealing with enquiries Completion of Government statistic documents. Onboarding paperwork of new staff - clerically and digitally. Filing of all necessary paperwork. Maintain and update financial records using Sage 50 Accounts. Process sales and purchase ledger. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively. Prepare monthly financial reports and completion of quarterly VAT returns. Monthly management accounts. Assist with year-end preparation and all necessary documentation. Monitor debtors and creditors list. Payroll duties including timesheets, journal entries and reconciliations. Ordering of office stock (stationery and office supplies) and price compare. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Proficient in Sage is essential. Strong understanding of accounts processes and principles. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
