SRM is preparing for the commencement of a major programme of construction works in Port Talbot, South Wales. The works will involve heavy construction and civil engineering across various industrial work fronts over the next 3 to 4 years, starting with enabling works before the main programme begins in Q3 2025.
We are seeking an Assistant or Deputy Temporary Works Coordinator to join our team in Port Talbot. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support a complex, technically challenging project valued at over £200m. Experience supporting temporary works on large-scale, multi-million-pound projects is preferred.

Role Overview
The Deputy Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) oversees all aspects of temporary works on construction projects, including design coordination, compliance, programming, and assurance. The TWC acts as the key liaison between temporary works designers and site teams, ensuring safe and compliant implementation.
Key Responsibilities
* Support coordination of temporary works activities and maintain the Temporary Works Register.
* Assist in preparing and reviewing design briefs to ensure site requirements are met.
* Manage design checks, approvals, and permits for load/dismantle activities.
* Supervise erection, use, maintenance, and dismantling of temporary works.
* Participate in inspections, audits, and change control processes.
* Review contractor or in-house designs and liaise with production and subcontractor teams.
Your Profile
* Hold or be working towards a valid TWC CITB Certification (or equivalent) and CSCS card.
* Degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Some experience with temporary works on large infrastructure or construction projects.
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and grow.
