Job Description:
Visual Merchandising Manager working for a global Beauty brand.
Location: Ideally based near Glasgow due to the head office location; however, candidates in London/UK willing to travel to HQ once a month (expenses covered) are also considered.
Start date: Beginning of September, 3-month FTC, likely to extend to 6 months.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising, the VM Manager manages and supports the client's Global Visual Merchandising strategy by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, developing fixture and event design, and ensuring brand messaging consistency across retailer channels. The role involves delivering innovative retail experiences aligned with brand strategy and business goals across all physical distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and execute all Visual Merchandising and store expression according to brand guidelines, collaborating with stakeholders on POS materials for all points of distribution.
* Create CPAs/schedules, assess and flag risks for VM projects.
* Maintain the VM Master List across all projects, flag risks, and propose solutions.
* Coordinate retailer reset/rebuild updates and promotions with the VM master calendar to ensure timely project delivery.
* Develop Visual Merchandising Design briefs based on input from Sales, Marketing, and Retail partners.
* Create planograms and optimize shelf productivity in partnership with Sales, considering POS manufacturing, materials, and lead times.
* Manage POs, track CAPEX and OPEX costs, and maintain the VM budget and tracker.
Role requirements:
* At least 5 years experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably in Beauty and/or FMCG.
* Bachelor Degree in Design: Architecture, Interior Design, or Visual Merchandising.
* Strong understanding of technical aspects of Visual Merchandising and experience working with external suppliers.
* Ability to read and interpret technical/manufacturing drawings.
* Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience managing large, complex projects.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects.
* Ability to create and present VM presentations confidently to stakeholders, sharing risks and solutions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and design programs including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion.
* Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and resilience under pressure.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with stakeholders.
