About Our Client
A business who have already laid down the gauntlet as a 'go-to' supplier in the category. After onboarding number of new brands & licenses in both niche and more mainstream products, they are looking to further penetrate the market.
Job Description
* Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
* Identify and establish new business opportunities within the retail sector.
* Develop strategic relationships with key retail partners - national and multi-site high street retailers e.g. Smyths, The Entertainer and also National Garden Centres/Buying Groups, Gift Stores, Book Stores, Craft Stores etc..
* Analyse market trends to identify growth opportunities.
* Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms for the business.
* Attend trade shows, events, and face-to-face buyer meetings
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate should have:
* A proven track record of winning new business/onboarding national and multi-site retail accounts
* Sales/Account Management/Business development experience within FMCG - open on product category, but you will need relevant customer experience
* Comfortable leading conversations with head office buyers
* Proactive approach to sales and prospecting
* Driven and tenacious
What’s on Offer
* Salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum.
* Company car/allowance
* Performance-based bonus/commission.
* Remote working - with travel as required
