OUR HOTEL
As Head of Spa and Wellness, you will deliver exceptional
face and body treatments while overseeing the overall operation and strategy of
the Wellness Spa Suite. You will play a key leadership role in positioning the
spa and wellness offering as a premier destination for both hotel guests and
local clientele. This includes curating unique wellness packages, developing
external business, maximising studio usage, and fostering repeat visitation.
This dynamic role is suited to a hands-on
leader with deep expertise in wellness and spa therapies, as well as the
commercial and creative mindset to drive growth and innovation.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF HEAD OF SPA AND WELLNESS AT OUR HOTEL
What you'll be doing...
* Lead
the launch of the Wellness Spa Suite, positioning it as a flagship destination
for luxury wellness in Edinburgh.
* Deliver
outstanding, personalised face and body treatments that align with the highest
standards of guest care.
* Oversee
all daily spa operations, ensuring excellence in service, hygiene, safety, and
team performance.
* Develop
and grow external business opportunities, building partnerships and initiatives
that drive new clientele to both the spa and studio.
* Encourage
and nurture repeat visitation, creating loyalty among guests through
exceptional experiences, personalised service, and tailored wellness journeys.
* Curate
unique wellness packages that integrate the hotel’s
gym, studio, and F&B outlets, offering holistic and experiential options
for guests and locals.
* Collaborate
with external wellness practitioners to deliver classes, workshops, and events
that generate revenue and optimise use of the studio space.
* Lead
recruitment, training, and mentoring of the spa team, creating a culture of
excellence and continuous professional development.
* Manage
and drive retail sales of premium skincare and wellness products, with a focus
on personalised recommendations and product education.
* Regularly
analyse business performance, guest feedback, and industry trends to evolve
offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
* Work
closely with marketing and PR teams to promote the spa and studio through
campaigns, events, partnerships, and editorial opportunities.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
* Qualified to at least SVQ Level 3 Facial Treatment and Level 3 Body Massage or equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a luxury spa, wellness, or five-star hotel environment.
* Demonstrated leadership experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment, ideally within a 5-star hotel or high-end urban setting.
* Proven ability to develop external business, build community connections, and drive revenue growth.
* Strategic and commercial mindset with an eye for detail, guest experience, and service innovation.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, inspire, and build lasting guest relationships.
* Sales acumen, particularly in skincare and wellness retail; familiarity with Skeyndor is a plus.
* Passionate about holistic wellness, current industry trends, and creating transformative experiences.
* Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, to support the operational needs of the spa and studio.
