The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Operative to support the installation and maintenance of security and access control systems on construction sites. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, computer literate, and keen to develop their skills within a growing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installing and maintaining turnstiles, barriers, and site access control systems.
* Assisting with the setup and operation of security equipment.
* Using software and mobile applications to update records and complete job documentation.
* Carrying out basic troubleshooting and reporting equipment faults.
* Supporting site teams with system maintenance and equipment checks.
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
Requirements:
* Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly.
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Experience in construction, security systems, or access control equipment is desirable but not essential.
* Full UK driving licence desirable.
* CSCS card advantageous but not essential.
